GENERAL ASSISTANT AT THE BARAKA ORPHAN CENTRE

A General Assistant of Baraka Technical College’s orphan centre will work in conjunction with the
orphanage’s staff and will be responsible for:

• Caring for the children and assisting them children with daily general chores e.g. laundry work, meal preparation, sweeping, mopping, fetching water and collecting firewood
• Childcare duties which include ensuring that children complete their chores and homework, playing games, assisting them with showers/baths, supporting involvement of children with arts and crafts
• Assisting the management of orphanage e.g. help with weekly budget, development of food menus and various projects
Required skills:

• Experience in working with children is advantageous but not required
• Creative, reliable and caring personality
